Indain Equities end flat on Wednesday - Microsec

Indian equities ended on a flat note on Wednesday led by Metal, Realty and Bankex sectors.

Nifty closed at 5913.15 up by 16.40 points or 0.28% over the previous day closing of 5896.75 after witnessing a low of 5832.70 and a high of 5924.35. Sensex closed at 19997.45up by 0.36 points or 0.001% over the previous day closing of 19997.10.It touched an intraday low of 19997.63 and high of 20055.53.

The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2511 stocks traded 1419 stocks advanced, 940 stocks declined and 152 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 18 stocks advanced and 12 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Metal, BSE Realty and BSE Bankex were the main gainers of the day which increased by 3.33%, 2.74% and 1.80% respectively.

In BSE Metal sector JSW Steel, SAIL, and Tata Steel increased by 8.68%,5.95% and 5.07% respectively. In BSE Realty sector DLF, HDIL, and Phoenix Mill advanced by 5.28% 3.63% and 3.24% respectively. In BSE Bankex Bank of India, BoB and Union Bank increased by 10.46% 8.14% and 7.78% respectively.
