Indian Rupee gains against US Dollar to close at 63.85

Indian Rupee opened Tuesday's session on a positive note. The decline in India's August trade deficit provided support to the currency and corporates reported Dollar sales adding to Rupee's gains during the day. The INR ended the session at 63.85 against the US Dollar in comparison to the Friday's close of 65.24.

The 6 and 12-month forward premia closed at 8.12% and 7.04% respectively compared to prior close of 7.39% and 6.46%.
