Infosys Technologies BPO arm renamed Infosys BPO Ltd

Infosys Technologies Ltd has announced that the effective August 29, 2006, Progeon Ltd the business process outsourcing subsidiary of the Company, has been renamed Infosys BPO Ltd. "The new name accurately reflects our heritage and line of business," says Amitabh Chaudhry, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys BPO Ltd. "Our customers, employees, partners, and other stakeholders have always known us to be an integral part of the Infosys group. The new name simply reinforces that message."

Infosys EPO Ltd is a subsidiary of the Company over the next few weeks, the Progeon logo, website, email addressees and marketing collateral templates will be replaced by the Infosys logo, website, email addressees and marketing collateral templates.

"The Infosys brand represents a promise to our clients that we enable them to compete in a flat world," says Nandan N Nilekani, CEO and Managing Director, of the Company. "Infosys BPO strengthens that promise by enabling our clients to work with one integrated brand for consulting, technology, and process outsourcing."
