Sensex closes down 2.64 points at 19345.70 - Microsec

Indian equities ended flat with negative bias on Wednesday led by realty, FMCG and banking stocks.

Nifty closed at 5742.00 down by 13.05 points or 0.23% over the previous day closing of 5755.05 after witnessing a low of 5675.75 and a high of 5752.10. Sensex closed at 19345.70 down by 2.64 points or 0.01% over the previous day closing of 19348.34.It touched an intraday low of 19126.82 and high of 19387.50.

The markets' breadth was mixed. Out of 2370 stocks traded 837 stocks advanced, 1393 stocks declined and 140 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 16 stocks advanced and 14 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Realty, BSE FMCG and BSE Bankex were the main losers of the day which decreased by 2.30%, 2.26% and 1.84% respectively. In BSE Realty sector, DLF, Peninsula Land and Godrej Prop decreased by 5.79%,3.88% and 3.24% respectively.

In BSE FMCG sector United Spirits, Godrej cons and ITC declined by 5.65% 3.20% and 2.52% respectively. In BSE Bankex Yes Bank , Axis Bank and HDFC Bank decreased by 7.19% 5.36% and 2.54% respectively.
