Indian Stock Markets opened in the green - ICICI Bank : Treasury Research

Indian stock markets opened in the green tracking positive cues from global indices. Stock markets ended lower yesterday primarily on the back of weaker consumer and cement stocks. Earnings results expected later today from Hindustan Unilever and Wipro will be watched for further cues.

The Chief Economic Adviser tried to calm investor sentiment yesterday by saying that the recent measures taken were not intended to have an adverse effect on growth but was mainly aimed towards stabilising the Rupee.

Technically, Sensex is expected to trade ranged between 19600-19850.
