Taking cues from strong Asian markets, Nifty moved higher on Tuesday. It hit an intra-day high of 6093.25 and closed higher by 46 points. The index is likely to inch higher up to 6120-6150 zone in the extreme short term.
Profit booking took place in Nifty call options of strike 6000 which shed open interest by 29,244 lots while writing took place at Put options of same strike which added open interest by 35,990 lots
Nifty Put Call ratio (OI) stands at 1.38 with the total open interest in Call options at 1,247,554 lots and that in Put options at 1,723,781 lots
State Bank of India, Yes Bank, Financial Technologies, Voltas Ltd and PNB appear strong while United Phosphorus, Apollo Tyres, TCS, Bata India, Exide Industries, Cipla and Wipro appear weak
Volatility Index fell by 5.16% from 17.63 to 16.72.
