Infosys' global sales head Basab Pradhan has resigned from the company in the first top-level departure after the return of NR Narayana Murthy, who was recalled as executive chairman in June. He has resigned from the organisation to start his own venture. Pradhan returned to Infosys in 2011, when the company began restructuring its strategy. He left Infosys in 2005 to start a venture-funded technology start-up called Gridstone Research. Internally, Infosys has seen management transformation in the last two years including reshuffle of top executives. Pradhan is the latest in a long line of senior executives to head for the exit door at Infosys. In recent months, Ritesh Idnani (chief operating officer, Infosys BPO), Shaji Farooq (head of financial services for North America) and Matt Barney (head, Infosys Leadership Institute) have left Infosys.
