The Dow and the S&P 500 slipped on Friday as the end of the second quarter approached, with investors finding little reason to push shares higher after a three-day rally.
Asian stocks declined, pushing the benchmark index lower for the first time in four days, as data showed growth in Chinese manufacturing slowed last month. Hang Seng is closed today.
Stock indices surged on Friday by more than 2 % following global cues and upward pricing of natural gas by the government from April 1, 2014. The rally in equities was also accelerated by a stronger rupee, which settled back above the 60-mark against the dollar. Market is expected to open on a flattish note and remain range bound during the day.
