Nifty loses 1.23% for the week - ZENMoney

Nifty traded on a negative note amid selling pressure in select frontline stocks, Nifty lost by -1.23% to closed at 5808.40 during the week.

Nifty Futures for the Jun Series were trading at a discount of 2.45 points as against a premium of 14.20 points. Futures open interest has increased to 1.56 crore shares, which indicates addition of short positions, during the week.

Open interest of all Call options for the Jun series has increased to 4.68 Crore shares, while the average implied volatility has increased to 15.64%, which indicates addition of short positions, during the week.

Call options strikes from 5700, 5900 and 6100 have seen closure of open interest, for the Jun series over the weekend.

Open interest of all Put options for the Jun series has increased to 4.34 Crore shares, while the average implied volatility has increased to 24.09%, which indicates addition of long positions, during the week.

Put options strikes 5700 and 5800 have seen addition of open interest, for the Jun series over the weekend.

Nifty Put-Call ratio of open interest has decreased to 0.93 for the Jun series, which indicates addition of open interest in put options, during the week.

FIIs were net sellers in the F&O segment, to the tune of Rs. -107 Crore during the week.

Overall derivatives data for the Jun series indicates that Nifty Futures and Call options have seen addition of short postions, while Put options have seen addition of long positions, during the week.
