Nifty closes up 19.75 points at 6124.05 - Microsec

The equity benchmark closed up on Thursday, which largely led by Auto, FMCG and Power sectors.

Nifty closed at 6124.05 up by 19.75 points or 0.32 % over the previous day closing of 6104.30 after witnessing a low of 6072.15 and a high of 6133.75. Sensex closed at 20215.40 up by 67.76points or 0.34% over the previous day closing of 20147.64.It touched an intraday low of 20066.14 and high of 20254.03.

The markets’ breadth was negative. Out of 2522 stocks traded 1062 stocks advanced, 1327 stocks declined and 133 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 15 stocks advanced and 15 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Auto, BSE FMCG, BSE Power were the main gainers of the day which increased by 2.29%, 1.88% and 0.71% respectively.

In BSE Auto sector, M&M , Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland increased by 4.61%, 4.31% and 1.88% respectively.

In BSE FMCG sector ITC, Tata Global and JUBL Food advanced by 3.51%, 3.47% and 0.54% respectively. In BSE Power sector Adani Power , Siemens and NTPC increased by 7.53% 1.80% and 1.62% respectively.
