The Indian markets are expected to open higher on Tuesday tracking mixed Asian markets and may even test its key psychological level of 6000 in trade today. At 07:30 a.m., Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were trading 12.50 point higher at 5992, indicating a positive opening on the domestic market.
Overnight, US Markets remained firm. The S&P 500 closed at another record high, pushing further above 1,600 after Bank of America said it would settle claims with MBIA for $1.6 billion, lifting shares of both companies as well as the S&P financial sector Index.
Major Asian markets inched higher tracking gains in US markets, but weak global growth data kept investors on sidelines.
