Indian Markets expected to open soft on Monday - TRANS SCAN

The Indian markets are expected to open soft on Monday tracking weak Asian markets and the Nifty index may even test its next immediate support level of 5550 in trade today. At 07:30 a.m., Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were trading 18.50 points lower at 5538.50, indicating a soft opening on the domestic market.

On Friday, US stock markets fell after weaker-than-expected jobs report added to fears the U.S. economic recovery may be losing steam.

Asian shares were trading mixed while yen tumbled broadly lifting Japanese stocks by over 2 per cent, but U.S. weak jobs data weighed capped gains.
