Sensex ends in green despite weak manufacturing data - Microsec

Nifty closed at 5704.40 up by 21.85points or 0.38% over the previous day closing of 5682.55 after witnessing a low of 5675.90 and a high of 5720.95. Sensex closed at 18864.75 up by 28.98points or 0.15% over the previous day closing of 18835.77.It touched an intraday low of 18796.60 and high of 18959.48.

The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2835 stocks traded 1874 stocks advanced, 869 stocks declined and 92 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 15 stocks advanced and 15 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Realty ,BSE Capital Goods and BSE Power were the main gainers of the day, which increased by 5.37%, 1.68% and 1.09% respectively.

In BSE Realty sector HDIL, DLF and Godrej Properties increased by 8.11%,7.91% and 7.60% respectively. In BSE Capital Goods sector Welcorp, BEML and ABB advanced by 9.73%,5.28% and 4.48% respectively. In BSE Power sector GMR Infra, Reliance Infra, and Lanco Infra increased by 5.10%, 4.34% and 3.95% respectively.
