Markets drift lower amidst choppy trade - Cholamandalam

- Key benchmark indices edged lower in choppy trade. The market breadth was weak

- Realty stocks extended recent fall. HDIL (down 2.62%), Sobha Developers (down 1.14%), Oberoi Realty (down 1.42%), Orbit Corporation (down 1.27%) and D B Realty (down 4.95%) declined.

- The BSE Small-Cap index lost 0.96%. The BSE Mid-Cap index was off 0.26%. Both these indices underperformed the Sensex

- Shares of NMDC fell after two bulk deals were executed; NTPC rose after a large bulk deal was struck
