The Indian markets are expected to open higher on Tuesday tracking positive Asian markets, while investors will keep a close eye on Reserve Bank of India (RBI) policy meet, due later in the day. At 07:30 a.m., Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were trading 12 points higher at 5864.50, indicating a positive opening on the domestic market.

Overnight, US Stocks ended lower after a plan to tax bank accounts in Cyprus to help pay for the country's bailout stoked worries that it could threaten the stability of financial institutions in the euro zone. Investors also awaited the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Asian share bounced back from lows, but gains were capped as investor's preferred to stay on sidelines ahead of bailout plan for Cyprus which was set for a parliamentary vote later in the day.
