The market is likely to open on a positive note taking cues from firm global markets. Asian stocks rose to their highest level in two years following a surge in U.S. shares to a record on improved service-industry growth in the world's largest economy and expectations of further stimulus from central banks.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged to a record on Tuesday, breaking through levels last seen in 2007 as investors poured money into blue-chip stocks in expectation of more gains amid signs of a strengthening U.S. economy.
As per provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 220.79 crore on 5th March February 2013. Domestic institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 244.8 crore on that day.
