Indian Markets pare gains - Microsec

The Indian markets pare yesterday's gains and seems cautious ahead of WPI Inflation number scheduled on February 14, 2013.

Nifty closed at 5932.95 up by 10.45points or 0.18% over the previous day closing of 5922.50 after witnessing a low of 5922.95 and a high of 5969.50. Sensex closed at 19608.08 up by 47.04 points or 0.24% over the previous day closing of 19561.04. It touched an intraday low of 19574.15 and high of 19723.01.

The markets' breadth was negative. Out of 2973 stocks traded, 892 stocks advanced, 1229 stocks declined and 852 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 13 stocks advanced and 17 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE IT, BSE Teck and BSE Auto were the main gainers of the day, which increased by 1.29%, 0.98% and 0.26% respectively. In BSE IT sector HCL Tech, Mphasis and TCS, increased by 4.30%,3.26% and 1.58% respectively. In BSE Teck sector Himachal Futur, D B Corp and Infosys advanced by 1.60%,1.32% and 1.26% respectively.

In BSE Auto sector Tata Motors, M&M, and Bharat Forge, increased by 2.11%, 1.59% and 1.24% respectively.
