Broader indices continue underperforming the benchmark indices - Eastern Financiers

With broader indices underperforming the benchmark indices that shaved off to the tune of around one percentage point—benchmarks edged lower marginally less than two tenths of a percent. Trade for the day initiated in the positive terrain on assertive Asian markets before it slipped in red in the final hour of trade on murky set of third quarter earnings.

Nifty ended the day below the 6000 mark at 5987.25 after hitting an intraday high of 6038.50 marking loss of 11.65 points.

Sensex flaked off 30 points that parked the index at 19751.19. Except for the Automobile sector that edged up close to half a percent, rest of the sectoral indices ended the day with losses.
