The Sensex ended in the red for the second consecutive session, led by losses in rate sensitives like realty, banks, metals and capital goods space. The index ended at 19,793.18, down 101.80 points or 0.51 per cent. The index touched a high of 19,966.69 and a low of 19,736.45 in trade today. The Nifty closed at 6,004.60, down 30.15 points or 0.50 per cent. It touched a high of 6,052.95 and a low of 5,983.20 in trade today.
The Nifty has had a mixed trading session, has had a positive opening, has moved both ways, has received selling pressure at higher levels, has come off from its intra - day high and has finally ended in negative territory on lower volume. Volatility can be the order of the day; an intra-day upside (seems like a mild possibility) could come in above the 6001 level while significant resistance at higher levels (6026) - would limit the upside. The outlook has turned negative again.
