Some doubts remain - IIFL

The investors seem to be non-committal for now as F&O expiry comes into play. Of course the usual volatility will be seen. Wednesday saw some shortrollovers. The main indices are set to open weak. Some bank stocks will be in focus including ICICI Bank which announces its results today.

The global cues are mostly indicating weakness all over. The US indices came lower after the Federal Reserve said in its latest statement that economic growth had taken a pause. However, he indicated that this weakness may be temporary.

The US economy contracted during the fourth quarter of 2012; the first quarterly contraction since the second quarter of 2009. The Federal Open Market Committee at the conclusion of a two-day meeting in Washington said, "Household spending and business fixed investment advanced, and the housing sector has shown further improvement."
