Indian Markets remained lackluster on Monday - Microsec

The Indian markets remained lackluster on Monday ahead of RBI's quarterly monetary policy.

Nifty closed at 6074.80 down by 0.15points or 0.00% over the previous day closing of 6074.95 after witnessing a low of 6061.40 and a high of 6088.40. Sensex closed at 20103.35 down by 0.18 points or 0.00% over the previous day closing of 20103.53. It touched an intraday low of 20062.79 and high of 20172.45.

The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2972 stocks traded, 1213 stocks advanced, 992 stocks declined and 767 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 15 stocks advanced and 15 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Oil & Gas, BSE Consumer Durables and BSE Capital Goods were the main losers of the day, which decreased by 1.14%, 0.91% and 0.65 % respectively.

In BSE Oil & Gas sector HPCL, ONGC, and RIL decreased by 2.85%,1.76% and 1.56% respectively. In BSE Consumer Durables sector Whirlpool, Blue Star and Titan Inds declined by 7.92pcent,3.30% and 1.29% respectively. In BSE Capital Goods sector Lakshmi Mach, Lloyd, AIL, L&T and Crompton Greaves decreased by 3.90%, 2.65% and 2.26% respectively.
