Bharti Airtel rises on increasing call charges - AXIS DIRECT

Markets rose on Wednesday, led by gains in Bharti Airtel after the mobile carrier raised its call charges, but sentiments remain constrained ahead of key company results and a critical RBI decision on interest rates.

Nifty Futures closed at 6069 gaining 0.1% with 2.2% decrease in open interest along with 14.4% increase in volumes.

Nifty futures closed with 14.8 points premium as compared to 13.1 points premium in previous trading session.

FII's were sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 298 crores and were buyers in index options to the tune of 1227 crores, Stock Futures were sold to the tune of 311 crores.

FII's were net buyers in derivatives segment to the tune of 621 crores compared to selling of 365 crores in previous trading session.

Derivative segment saw 15.4% increase in turnover as compared to previous trading session.
