Sensex drops 92 points, Nifty down 27.75 points - Microsec

Sensex drops 92 points led by capital goods, FMCG and consumer durables sector.

Nifty closed at 5988.40 down by 27.75points or 0.46 % over the previous day closing of 6016.15 after witnessing a low of 5977.15 and a high of 6042.15. Sensex closed at 19691.42 down by 92.66 points or 0.47% over the previous day closing of 19784.08. It touched an intraday low of 19654.46 and high of 19856.43.

The markets' breadth was mixed. Out of 3066 stocks traded, 1617 stocks advanced, 1318 stocks declined and 131 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 11 stocks advanced and 19 stocks declined .

Among the sectors, BSE CG , BSE FMCG and BSE CD were the main losers of the day, which decreased by 1.47%, 1.05% and 1.00% respectively.

In BSE CG sector L&T, Sadbhav Engr and BEL decreased by 2.35%,1.42% and 1.30% respectively. In BSE FMCG sector UB, HUL and ITC advanced by 2.32%,1.55% and 1.13% respectively. In BSE CD sector Videocon, Titan Inds and Rajesh Exports decreased by 1.73%, 1.37% and 1.04% respectively.
