              MouthShut.com, one of India's oldest and trusted user generated content company has once again taken a tough stand against, fake profiles on the MouthShut.com website.
Social platforms today have become a common tool for people to voice their views and concerns, about goods, services, individuals, government's, policies, brands et al. The platform has provided inherent power to the masses, to express their feelings, which reaches to the right ears. All the brands and marketers have employed special digital wing to take care of such complaints.
Taking undue advantage of these platforms, some of the people started misusing these platforms and started posting fake reviews. Taking cognizance of the situation, MouthShut.com came down heavily on fake user profiles on Mouthshut.com website and deleted around 4100 fake profiles.
"These profiles were deleted by the MouthShut team after thorough investigation and background checks," says Faisal Farooqui, Founder-CEO, MouthShut.com. "The profiles were identified on the basis of certain characteristics for which they were suspected. The addition of a new feature to report members directly by other members in the MouthShut community supplemented the entire identification process", he added.
MouthShut noticed that certain members were posting overtly positive reviews for promoting certain brands while writing negative reviews damage ing the reputation of rivals. Also, in the radar were members who were posting negative comments and not useful ratings to positive reviews of rival brands. MouthShut is a platform for consumers for posting unbiased reviews / opinions; our decision to delete fake ids is a testimony of our commitment to the consumer and their problems.
With due diligence of three months, these fake profiles were deleted. MouthShut.com is determined in providing a true vicarious experience to its users keeping in mind its influence on brands.
