              Indian equity benchmarks fell a tad in the midst of jerky trade, following a decline in European markets.
Nifty closed at 5908.90 up by 1.50points or 0.03% over the previous day closing of 5907.40 after witnessing a low of 5888.10 and a high of 5919.95.Sensex closed at 19409.69 down by 14.41 points or 0.07% over the previous day closing of 19395.28. It touched an intraday low of 19362.32 and high of 19478.01.
The markets' breadth was mixed. Out of 3059 stocks traded, 1536 stocks advanced, 1406 stocks declined and 117 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 13 stocks advanced and 17 stocks declined.
Among the sectors, BSE CD BSE Teck and BSE IT were the main losers of the day, which decreased by 1.52%, 0.90% and 0.89% respectively.
In BSE CD sector Titan Inds Symphony and VIP Inds decreased by 3.56%, 1.30% and 0.63% respectively.
In BSE Teck sector Satyam Comp, Hexaware Tech and Den Network declined by 2.90%,2.69% and 2.58% respectively. In BSE IT sector TCS, Mphasis, and Tech Mahindra decreased by 2.50%, 2.12% and 1.18% respectively.
