Café Coffee Day and Trinayani to create awareness on World Disability Day

Café Coffee Day (CCD) comes together with Trinayani a non-profit organization working towards creating awareness on disability issues on the occasion of World Disability Day, December 3, 2012. Both will host a series of sessions called 'The Difference is in Knowing' with the objective to increase awareness on disability amongst the Indian youth. The sessions will be conducted at two CCD outlets in the city from 3-5 December.

The 'The Difference is in Knowing' sessions will be conducted for an hour and will involve talks by individuals with disabilities and fun sign language sessions by deaf instructors and sign language interpreters. The aim of this exercise is to generate curiosity towards individuals with differing abilities and erase preconceived mindsets about disabilities. The additional objective is also to get the youth develop respect for diversities.
