Education Ireland brings Student Recruitment Fair to India

Education Ireland, the government organisation responsible for the development and growth of Ireland's Education Sector in world markets as part of its endeavour to promote Irish Higher Education offering across markets, today announces a three city Student Recruitment Fair to be held across Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai between 22nd November - 1st December 2012. Each Student Fair will see participation from over 60 delegates including Provosts and Deans from 16 leading list of Institutes of Technology, Government Regulated Private Colleges amongst others from Ireland.

The Fair will aim to showcase the very best in Irish Education from laying emphasis on what makes Ireland's worldwide reputation for delivering high quality education and how it is built on the solid foundation of commitment to excellence. Pertinent topics such as University - Industry linkage through research and business collaborations, scholarships, ease of visa, stay back options, job security, and many other topics will be addressed in the three cities by domain experts from various disciplines.

H.E. Mr. Feilim McLaughlin, Ambassador of Ireland to India said, 'Ireland has a long and proud relationship in the Education sector in India with many of the finest minds in Indian business and society being educated in schools established by Irish educationalists in India. This Ministerial led Education Ireland Mission to India is a contemporary manifestation of this proud tradition and of our growing bilateral relationship. The Irish delegation of Universities, Colleges and Institutes of Technology is the largest ever to India and will afford Indian students an opportunity to engage with experts from a wide range of disciplines from across Ireland's Government regulated Higher Level Education system'.

The higher education system in Ireland consists of the University sector, Institutes of Technology and Private Independent Colleges featuring contemporary and cutting-edge centers for learning, extensive educational programs, high focus on innovation and research, excellent academia-industry interface, job security and global exposure amongst others. These universities offer unique combination of quality education and an equally exciting cultural experience to Indian students besides being an attractive destination for Indian & foreign visitors.

Over 1,000 Multinationals have their European bases in Ireland, which is home to one of Europe's largest clusters of industry in the Life Sciences and Technology Sectors. Ireland has a unique visa stay back programme and opportunities for work placements as part of programmes in the sciences, technology and business disciplines.

A number of exciting scholarship programmes exclusively designed for Indian students will be announced and launched at all the Fairs.

New Delhi - 25 November 2012, The Lalit Hotel, 11 AM - 5:30 PM

Mumbai - 1 December 2012, Hotel Trident Nariman Point, 12 PM - 5 pm
