As per our interaction with cement dealers across the country over the last week, cement prices have hardened during the past 4-5 weeks. However, demand has softened across the country. Dealers are surprised at the recent price increases and feel the prices should come down. We understand that delayed monsoon in most parts of the country has helped the cement manufacturers to maintain and increase prices during this part of the month but believe that with the pickup in monsoon we may see price correction across regions.
