Deep sea Fishing in EEZ banned

Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries has banned fishing by all deep sea fishing vessels in the Exclusive Economic Zone of India from 15th April to 31st May, 2007 (both days inclusive) along east coast and from 15th June to 31st July, 2007 (both days inclusive) along west coast.

All maritime States/UTs and other concerned are informed through this press release to note the decision of the Central Government.
