The Board of Directors of DCM Shriram Ltd in their meeting held on February 23, 2018, have approved the investment proposal for expansion of Caustic Soda capacity at Bharuch (Gujarat) plant. The company has proposed capacity increase of 186 tonnes per day at an investment of Rs. 113 crores. The expected commissioning of the expanded capacity is April 2019.
The existing capacity is 1015 tonnes per day and post expansion the capacity will be 1347 tonnes per day (including 146 tonnes per day approved in November 2017).
The existing plants are running at their full capacity. The demand in the country and in our region is registering growth. This expansion will help in meeting growing demand and deriving economies of scale.
Shares of DCM Shriram Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs.570.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 546.1. The total number of shares traded during the day was 25191 in over 1043 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 575.3 and intraday low of 541. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 14289152.
